I thought it was superb it was like nothing I had heard before (I must have been 9 or 10 years old at the time). That was when I discovered they also didn't like anything by the Beatles after 1966 apparently the psychedelic age just passed them by. They hated it! I loved it and was surprised. When I was young, I found a copy of the original, and played it, thinking my parents would like it as it was their era of music. ' Crimson And Clover' (1981), originally by Tommy James and the Shondells (1968) Oh, and the two years? The album it came from ( Glorious Results Of A Misspent Youth) was released in 1984, but the song did not appear on it until the 1998 CD re-release (which is the version I have). This is one of the stranger songs to cover, but she succeeds. It is no longer a song of whingeing, but a menacing threat of a track. One of the songs my parents had on 45 (and which I have inherited), and so one of the songs I grew up with, Jett keeps the tempo pretty similar, but, man!, does she ever rock it up. ' Bird Dog' (1984/1998), originally by The Everly Brothers (1958) So, these are cover songs as performed by Joan Jett. How could I? There are so many awesome songs! There are a few tracks here from that album in this list, yes, but I have not focused exclusively on it. Reasonably common for artists, dating back years. I should point out that in 1990 Jett released The Hit List, an album of cover versions. For the record, I'm not going to include ' Cherry Bomb' (and a few others, but that's my favourite), because Jett was involved in the original version with the Runaways. I am going to look at my favourite ten of them. But she has recorded many versions of other people's songs that she has done a credit to.

This is NOT to insinuate that Jett is only a cover artist. I am going to focus on those cover versions Joan Jett has recorded and done a wonderful version of. Now, this list is going to seem very unfair.
